The Blade-Zero calibration tool is the invention of Dr. Spirito and like most inventions, it was developed to resolve a problem that he was encountering in his own woodworking shop.   The situation of setting and maintaining the accuracy of machine tools in industry today is an expensive, difficult and time-consuming procedure.

Dr. Spirito recognized the need for a simple way to perform these calibration tasks. 

Utilizing his twenty-eight years of experience in the military defense industry the Blade-Zero device was developed.  His education profile includes degrees in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Masters in Business Administration and a Doctoral in International Commerce. Coupled with certifications in Product Design and a postgraduate certification in Occupational Safety and Health, Dr. Spirito has a history of developing productivity improvements in the work force.
